our work TOGETHER
BEFORE our session…
No stiff nice-to-meet-you on the day of our session. We get to know each other before. We meet for coffee or in your home, we can even go for ice cream or we can have a zoom call.
I learn everything I can about you and your family; your routines, hobbies, loves, that secret handshake your kids have, the way your toddler carries a stuffed worn-down toy around the house all day -the one you almost lost on a trip to Cabo-, the way your French Bulldog likes to lie for a nap next to your partner, hand-in-paw, under a ray of sun. I try to get to know the real you so I can tell your story in an authentic way.
DURING our session…
Your session can take place wherever you feel like yourselves. It can be your home or a favorite spot, the most important thing is that you are comfortable. I want you and your family to feel free to be just as you are. I come into your routine as a friend would, a friend who happens to carry a camera. I observe, take a few steps back, but you can be sure there’ll be no “say cheese” moments. I don’t tell you what to do, where to be or how to act.
I try to enjoy the moment with you while using light, composition, and focus to portray the intimacy and connections that make you, you.
AFTER our session…
When your photographs are ready, I come to your home so we can view your gallery in a slideshow. Together we relive the joy of your session and see your story through my lens. We then select your favorite images for your photobook and create a true piece of art, a family heirloom that can be in your family for generations to come.
Also, if you want additional photos, I can help you select them and choose a place in your home to display your gallery as wall art. No matter what you choose, at the end you will have your intimate story told through beautiful photographs.
